Web-Based Location Sharing Service for a Group of People to Get Together

A web service is developed which enables a group of people to share their locations for the purpose of getting together. This service is accessible through any web browsers capable of HTML5, JavaScript, Ajax and Geolocation API on the smartphones. It does not require installation of any special application software. The system has been implemented by using the Geolocation API and Ajax. In any occasion of a group gathering, the group members can start and continue sharing their real-time locations by this service until they finally get together.
