Abstract
Actually car manufacturers are focusing on charging capacities lower than 10 kW in terms of wireless power transfer (WPT) systems. However to keep pace with technological progress and tethered charging systems, there is a need to seek higher charging performance. Therefore, this work is devoted to power electronics regarding a resonance converter (RC) up to a power range of 44 kW and a switching frequency up to 500 kHz for an experimental setup. Part of the publication is conceptual design, development and functional testing. The paper presents a hardware design and gives a perspective for further research.
