Abstract :
This paper presents a comprehensive overview of the state of the art and development trends of a vehicle electric system also known as (vehicle) electrical 12 V system, (vehicle) on board network and electric and electronic (e/e) architecture. This summary is based on the results of an extensive literature research covering the recent ten years as well as a set of expert statements collected by the author with the help of interviews with German OES, OEM, and research institutes.
