  • Abstract
    Web-based simulation environment, in the field of computational science, engineering, provides the computing environment through the web browser that you can use the solver (solving application) that has already been installed on the computing cluster as the EDISON, nanohub project. This environment gives the usability but having inconvenience that user cannot know the end-time of simulation like as the usual simulation environment. The system administrators use statistical values of the stored data to prepare the computing and storage resources required by job running. The prediction to the computing resource of the running jobs prevents other simulation works from getting be stopped by fault of storage and raise the user satisfaction by effectively provisioning the computing nodes in response to computing requests by the simulation. This paper constitutes a model for predicting the resources of the computing and storage of the simulation jobs and shows the applicability of this model using the actual CFD simulation data on the EDISON platform in order to facilitate the ease of users and administration.
