Abstract :
The paper focuses on the problem of propagation of TE waves in a dielectric two-layered plane waveguide with nonlinear permittivities. Analytical and numerical techniques are suggested to study the problem. Novel - `purely nonlinear´ - guided modes are found. Comparison between linear and nonlinear cases is given.
