Abstract :
The proficiency testing for PV reference cells is to confirm technical competence of calibration organizations in the world. Over past 2 years, the first proficiency testing program for PV reference cells calibration was held by AIST. In this paper, a direct sunlight method is used to calibrate 7 PV reference cells in the Institute of Electrical Engineering, Chinese Academy of Sciences (IEECAS). The detailed calibration procedure and uncertainty evaluation of IEECAS is described and which, furthermore, demonstrates accurate calibration results and good uncertainty evaluation. As a premier PV laboratory participant from China, The proficiency testing result of crystalline silicon cell of IEECAS are judged as “Satisfactory”. The direct sunlight calibration test bed of IEECAS will be used for photovoltaic scale traceability and secondary calibration in China.
