Abstract :
Bifacial n-type c-Si solar cells have recently gained a lot of attention in the photovoltaic field. Such architecture at cell level is employed in the n-Pasha concept. At module level n-Pasha are combined with a reflective white backsheet to avoid losses from infrared transmission. In this work we have investigated the application of a Distributed Bragg Reflector (DBR) and white paint (WP) as alternative metal-free back-reflector options applied to the textured rear of n-Pasha cells. In addition, dielectric back-reflectors (DBR and WP(TiO2)) and an optimized Ag back-reflector are applied to n-Pasha c-Si solar cells and their performance is evaluated.
