Abstract
In this paper the model of determination of energy efficiency for the telecommunication network is described. The calculation is made to determinate the cost of electricity to the transmission of one bit of information (W/bit). The developed model will help to determine the cost of electricity between any nodes that will enable SDN controller to find the most energy-efficient route. The suggested approach can reduce the energy consumption of telecommunication networks, which are considerable for the operator. The paper presents an example of calculating the energy efficiency of telecommunications network.
