  • Abstract
    In this paper the authors present the state of the art regarding wireless communications for River Information Services (RIS), developed or in development on the Danube River, taking also into account signal propagation issues. WiFi technologies and equipment are investigated along with the technological challenges such as standards employed, coverage and antenna positioning.
