Abstract
A simple hybridization of multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNT) and zinc oxide (ZnO) was attained by simple sonication technique at room temperature. Synthesis was carried out using water as a medium, using MWCNTs and Zinc nanopowder as precursors. Structural, morphological and light absorption characteristics were investigated. MWCNT-ZnO garlands were formed as a result of sonication, confirmed by Scanning Electron Microscopy. The FTIR studies confirmed the formation of MWCNT-ZnO nanocomposite effectively.
