Abstract :
Modeling languages including BPMN which is the de facto standard for business process modeling are limited to a “contemplative” modeling of their functional behavior. Its extension is necessary to allow a “productive” modeling of processes. This should facilitate their analysis, verification and automatic implementation. In this article, we analyze the related approaches proposed in this area. The aim is to highlight their limitations and identify the criteria of an approach.
