  • Abstract
Event detection and surveillance in heterogeneous wireless multimedia sensor network have drawn the interest of several researchers and the use of unnamed vehicles have made it realistic to enhance sensing, processing and communication capabilities in this area. Unnamed vehicles can communicate with different sensors and transfer video streaming data information to the base station or other entities. It can be used for various application areas. Besides, different optimizations criteria must be taken into consideration to achieve main goals. This paper provides an overview of different event and surveillance approaches using heterogeneous sensors and discuss some of their limitations. A comparison criteria are highlighted and discussed to contribute to finding and optimal approach.
