  • Abstract
Requirements engineering is the first and one of the most important stage in a software development process. The first step in requirements engineering is requirements elicitation and analysis where the software engineers gather, elicit and analyze the system requirements with the help from the stakeholders of the intended system. This step then followed by requirements validation which is aimed to validate whether the defined requirements actually represent a system with the services that the stakeholders want. This paper discuss about strategy for enhancing the quality of the requirements engineering process by using software prototypes. This strategy was enacted in a software project which was developing Student Marking System (SMS) in University XYZ. This paper will explain about how software engineers in the project combining low-fidelity and high-fidelity prototypes during the requirements engineering process.
