Abstract :
Humans are responsible for the dramatic climate change, the energy crisis, the misuse of useful materials and the pollution of the planet with hazardous materials. The need to consider the well-being of the environment and protect the health, balance, and diversity of human and natural resources is already an essential part of many (under)-graduate courses in various Academic and Technical institutions. However, the contribution of IT to all these problems is not clear to many students and a solid understanding will help the academic community to design and introduce relevant courses both at an undergraduate and a graduate level. A short definition of the problem and some hints for better understanding in tandem with good practices related to online lessons are presented in the current work.
