Abstract
Pseudoknots are an important motif for RNA secondary structure prediction. Prediction of this peculiar structure enhances the efficiency of RNA secondary structure prediction algorithm. The earmarked characteristic of Pseudoknot is that it has crossing base pairs. Consistent efforts have been made by several researchers for the prediction RNA secondary structures including Pseudoknots. Several databases for Pseudoknots have been conceived so far, but very few give information about types of Pseudoknots. Prediction of RNA Pseudoknots is futile without the knowledge of its structure. This article focuses on types of Pseudoknots and their structure.
