Abstract
This paper presents the small-signal stability analysis results of the simplified Taiwan Power System connected with a high-capacity wind farm of 46 MW. The q-d axis equivalent-circuit model is employed to establish the complete system model of simplified Taiwan Power System connected with the wind farm under three-phase balanced loading conditions. The eigenvalue results at the specific operating point and the time-domain simulations of the studied integrated power system under a three-phase short-circuit fault are both performed. From the eigenvalues and time-domain results, it shows that the simplified Taiwan Power System connected with the high-capacity wind farm is stable under the selected operating conditions.
