Abstract
We propose a Y-configuration power router as a system component to easily construct a power distribution system that meets the requirements of many types of user. The Y-configuration power router controls the direction and magnitude of power flow among three ports regardless of DC and AC. We fabricated a prototype three-way isolated DC/DC converter that is a core component of the Y-configuration power router and demonstrated the power flow control operation. The experimental results revealed that our methodology based on the governing equation was an effective means of controlling the power flow of the three-way converter.
