Abstract :
A soft-switching single-phase high power factor interleaved boost rectifier is proposed in this paper. The proposed rectifier includes two identical boost rectifiers which are operated in interleaved operation mode to increase the output power and reduce the input ripple current and output capacitor size. The proposed rectifier uses a soft-switching auxiliary circuit to get the soft-switching function on main switches and auxiliary switches. Furthermore, the problem of switching losses and EMI can be improved. In the control strategy, the proposed rectifier uses the average current control mode to synthesize a stable sine-wave input current with low harmonics. A prototype has been implemented in laboratory to verify circuit theory.
