Abstract :
Energy storage systems (ESSs) provide a variety of solutions to manage the power supply in order to create a more resilient energy infrastructure and bring cost saving to electric utilities and consumers. To help understand the electrical characteristic of the ESSs operate in electric grid, the process of modeling and simulation is thus required. This paper presents the simulations analysis for a low-voltage distribution system with small capacity ESSs. Meanwhile, the issue of modeling each critical component in the system is included. Then, the different test scenarios are used for simulations, and the results for the studied system are analysis and reported.
