Abstract :
The location and size of distributed generations (DGs) can affect the power quality of distribution network, in order to solve the multi-objective optimization problem this paper focuses on four aspects: active power loss, harmonic distortion, voltage quality and voltage sag. Comprehensively the merits and faults of three algorithms are compared on application of solving DG locating and sizing problems, this paper proposes an improved particle swarm optimization algorithm and apply it in an IEEE 33-node system. The results show that the proposed approach makes the best solution.
