  • Abstract
    The electric power system is a very large-scale system wherein a variety of apparatus and devices from power generation to consumer are systematically combined and operated by various applications in real time. In the past, each application was developed by itself with little or no thought given to interconnecting it with other applications. In line with the standardization requirements for information exchanges among applications, the development of an enterprise-wide integration system using standardized, open information models is required in the future electric power system. A message exchange platform for the integration of electric power system applications using the common information model is described in this paper. It will provide the basis for efficient information exchange in the electric power system as a whole.
