Abstract
In this paper, a new type of micro droplet generation system is proposed. It is composed of the drive component (the linear ultrasonic motor and controller), the micro droplet generation component (the syringe and the catheter), signal generator and amplifier and the micro droplet separation (the Langevin vibrator and a cantilever beam). Utilizing the drive controller to drive the linear ultrasonic motor, the motor pushes forward the syringe and the micro droplet is produced at the needle tip. Then, with the forced vibration of the Langevin vibrator, the micro droplet is forced to be separated from the needle tip. The purpose of the project is to design a micro droplet generator driven by a linear ultrasonic motor, and study the forming law of micro droplets. The linear ultrasonic motor is used as the driving device for the first time. The micro droplets with a radius of 20μm are generated.
