Abstract :
This paper presents a structure of half-width two-dimensional periodical perforated microstrip on uniform ground. Perfect magnetic conductor (PMC) boundary and perfect electric conductor (PEC) boundary are applied at the edge of the half-width, respectively. The dispersion curves show that different left-handed and right-handed modes are excited with the perforated periodic structure when PEC boundary and PMC boundary are applied. The coupling phenomena and the formation of complex modes can also be observed from the dispersion curves.
