Abstract :
We consider antenna selection in massive multi-input multi-output (MIMO) systems. Most prior works ideally assume perfect channel estimation at the receiver side. In this paper, we present an antenna selection scheme based on a genetic algorithm for massive MIMO systems in the presence of channel estimation error (CEE). Numerical results suggest that the proposed algorithm outperforms traditional antenna selection algorithms in terms of channel capacity, especially for low signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) scenarios.
