  • Abstract
Optical Burst Switching (OBS) is perceived as the most affirmative switching method for the next generation optical networks to satisfy bandwidth demands for applications in telecommunication domain. This paper review OBS model on the network evaluates a hybrid offset time and burst assembly scheme to repeat results described by other authors. The proposed scheme called hybrid offset-time and burst assembly algorithm (H-OTBA) was evaluated via verification using PRISM modeler language. Constant bit rate (CBR) traffic issue that has strict end-to-end delay QoS requirements is used in this study. The objective of the paper is achieved by comparing maximum burst transfer delay parameters of CBR solved by PRISM modeler with attained reference results.
