Abstract
A complementary frequency selective surface (CFSS) is formed by placing an array of slots in close proximity to an array of its Babinet´s complement i.e. dipoles. In this paper by adding an additional layer of periodic elements (dipoles/slots) to a CFSS metasurface the coupling among the arrays is increased thus causing a decrease in the resonant frequency of this proposed structure. The decrease in resonant frequency is more pronounced when the additional layer consists of dipoles.
