Abstract :
One outstanding feature of a conformal array or periodic surface is its ability to conform to a surface whilst maintaining the operational electromagnetic characteristics. A simple textile Frequency Selective Surface (FSS), fabricated using weaving technique has been evaluated in terms of its transmission properties on a flat surface and curved structure. Measurements confirm the FSS exhibits resonant frequency properties at 2.87 GHz and 2.46 GHz on a flat and curved surface respectively.
