  • Abstract
Thermoacoustic tomography is one hot research topic in the area of biomedical imaging. It is mainly focused on photoacoustic tomography and microwave induced thermoacoustic tomography, and the research is rarely about terahertz wave induced thermoacoustic tomography (TWITAT). However, it is a valuable research area of TWITAT, since it has the advantages of high contrast, high resolution, high imaging scene depth, easy detection. This paper describes advantages, basic principles, imaging systems and reconstruction algorithm of the TWITAT.
