  • Abstract
    Design of a dual-band two-way Wilkinson power divider to connect two GSM/UMTS/LTE transceivers with a single antenna for vehicular applications is presented. A mixed design approach combines the use of metamaterial transmission lines (TLs) to adjust flexibly two central frequencies of operation and the multi-section band-broadening technique to enhance the bandwidths. The designed power divider is shown advantageous compared with a conventional multi-section power divider. Measured characteristics agree quite well with the results of electromagnetic simulations that proves the design principle.
