Abstract :
An efficient web server fulfills the requirements of the users as with the rapid development in technology. All the web contents accessed through Internet serviced by a web server in content distribution networks (CDN). Web server distributes web pages to respective clients as a first priority. To increase the performance, scalability and efficiency, the web server needs a peer-to-peer (P2P) network for the distribution of task. The user´s expectation can be fulfill by minimizing response time and the web server should be efficiently designed so that the time needed to perform all tasks on the resources should also be minimized. The average response time of the web servers has been minimized for the workload of each web server that has been distributed based on their processing capacity among all the resources using proposed p2pWS (Peer-to-Peer Web Server) algorithm. In this paper, the average response time of the web servers has been minimized to maintain the workload proportional to the resources of web server systems.
