Abstract :
Nowdays it is very common the use of Open Source Software in different fields in society. For example, OpenOffice is widely used instead its proprietary competitor to write documents, prepare presentations, spreedsheets, etc. Evidently, Linux operating systems has a great acceptance in academic and industry. Other OSS packages widely used are, for instance, R, Octave, Scilab, LibreCad, etc. In this paper, we are going to present OSS used in the current research activity of UCLM team in different fields of science and engineering.
