Abstract
In wireless systems noise mitigation is a significant factor for competent working. Impulsive noise is one of the most important sources of performance degradation in wireless systems. Conventional linear zero-forcing (ZF) equalizer does not carry out pleasingly as the diversity order does not monotonically rise with the signal-to-noise ratio (SNR). In order to rise above such a problem, in this paper, we construct an enhanced linear ZF equalizer, which alleviates; in the impulse noise based minimum mean output-energy (SMMOE) sense, the impulse noise contribution at the equalizer output. In this paper, the terminology “smoothing term based minimum mean outputenergy” is taken and adapted with impulse noise in terms of signal-to-noise ratio (SNR). The study of the technique is performed by determining the assessment metrics of Bit Error Rate (BER), Mean Square Error (MSE) and Symbol Error Rate (SER) regarding SNR and dissimilar antenna array size. The experimental effects confirms that the proposed system attained good results by getting lower BER, MSE and SER curves when contrasted with other techniques.
