Abstract :
In this paper, a probabilistic assessment method based on quasi-Monte Carlo method to analyze the transient stability of power system incorporating wind power is proposed. Two indices are introduced to assess the transient stability of power system. The quasi-Monte Carlo method is applied to take the stochasticity and volatility of wind power into consideration. Finally, the case studies based on the IEEE standard test system as benchmark are conducted to reveal the impacts of wind power uncertainties on the transient stability of power system. Some meaningful conclusions are drawn.
