  • Abstract
With sonic technological developments, synthesizer has become a part of modern musical industries, one of which is the development of digital signal processing technology (DSP). In past few years, the trend to use sound synthesizer using mobile devices is continuing to increase. The main goal of mobile-based synthesizer is to achieve high quality audio and fast data processing speed with minimum power dissipation. To answer this need, we offer a digital sound synthesizer using Coordinate Rotation Digital Computer (CORDIC) algorithm, the implementation of the system could be done with a minimum amount of hardware but does not reduce the performance and quality. The system verification is done by measuring the sound generated with oscilloscope to obtain the signal shape and frequency spectrum. Implementation is done by using Altera FPGA DE2-70,digital-toanalogconverterand loudspeaker.
