Abstract
Along with the coming of technology epoch, mobile learning also becomes the main stream of learning. Among different kinds of applications, educational applications called learning-based app. Although applications have lot of benefits, applications also exist some problems. Therefore, this study aims to explore the effects of using learning-based app with cross-age tutoring in mobile learning mode on English learning. In the paper, we expect that participants consist of two classes of third graders and one class of fifth graders in Taiwan. Several surveys are administered before and after the intervention. The expected results are students in experimental group can significant gains in English learning compared to the control group, especially the low achievers. Moreover, the study can show positive effects on learning satisfaction, cognitive load, and attitude on English learning.
