Abstract :
In this paper, a modified Vivaldi monopole antenna array is proposed to realize the low-profile application in vehicle-mounted wireless signal detection system. The array is arranged circularly with 8 Vivaldi monopole antennas, operating in 0.8GHz-2.7GHz. In contrast to array designs using traditional Vivaldi antenna, the array has omnidirectional radiating pattern and compact size. Each basis element of the array performs well for horizontal scan to 60° and vertical san to 35°. The gain of the single Vivaldi monopole is up to 10dBi.
