Abstract :
Magneto-elastic metamaterials is a conceptually new class of metamaterials that utilizes both electromagnetic and mechanical degrees of freedom in composite structures. In this presentation I will overview various effects in such metamaterials, from tunability that allows to control the electromagnetic waves to such a fundamental physical phenomenon as spontaneous symmetry breaking.
