  • Abstract
Depolarization is a one factor that can affect the satellite communication system, and gives more influence in higher frequency. In this paper, Marshall-Palmer (MP) and Gamma raindrop size distribution (DSD) models are used to approximate the relationship between cross-polarization discrimination (XPD) and attenuation up to 100GHz. In order to scale wide range of frequency, Pruppacher-Pitter type raindrop shape is evaluated. Moreover, both MP-DSD and Gamma-DSD models are presented precisely in each horizontal and vertical wave. Finally, the relation of cross-polarization and attenuation in the circular polarization is also determined and approximated result and theoretical one are compared.
