Design of polarization-agile antenna by using integrated structure of phase shifter and power divider

Based on integrated structure of phase shifter and power divider (IPS-PD), a new design for the polarization-agile antenna is presented. By using IPS-PD, two equal-amplitude signals with +90°/-90° switched phase shift at two output ports can be achieved, which can be used to realize a dual-circular polarized polarization-agile antenna. Compared with traditional polarization-agile antenna which use discrete power divider and phase shifter, the new polarization-agile antenna has the advantage of high polarization purity and simple control circuit, etc.
