Abstract :
A dual-polarized planar phased array antenna for K band is presented in this paper. To realize dual-polarization operation, dielectric loaded dual-polarized radiator is proposed. The antenna has low-profile architecture, measuring only 10.4mm×10.4mm. A X-band prototype is measured for experimental verification. The measured result shows good agreement with the simulation. A 16×16-element array for the dual polarization is analyzed by simulation. A maximum of ±40° beam scan capability is achieved for the dual-polarized planar array. And the proposed array maintains good radiation patterns and low-profile electrical dimensions.
