Pseudocoloring ultrasound images with two dimensional Discrete Wavelet Transform

Pseudo-Color representation of ultrasound images facilitates the images to be perceived in more detail by the human visual system. In this study, pseudocoloring of ultrasound images using two dimensional Discrete Wavelet Transform is proposed. This study also proposed to apply contrast limited adaptive histogram equalization to pseudocolor image to increase the visibility of local details. The obtained results show that ultrasound images and detail is assigned to different colors.
