Abstract
The increase in the use of electronic portable devices in the market has led to the use of the DC-DC converters. In different types of the DC-DC Converter the more efficient one to be chosen is the Buck converter. In the power electronics industry there are many types of voltage regulators and DC-DC Converters. But as concern with the VLSI Design logic the main aim is to reduce the area and the power consumption. The Buck converter topology is complex due to the larger component present in it. Thus in order to reduce the area and the power consumption of the circuitry we introduce a Four-transistor comparator based PWM to be used in the DC-DC Converters. Thus, in this work the design of a Four-transistor comparator and the PWM is done using 180nm conventional CMOS Technology in Cadence Virtuoso tool.
