Abstract :
A semi-circular slot antenna is proposed that has the ability to switch the frequency to ten different bands, one at a time, between the wide frequency range of 5.35 GHz and 9.36 GHz. To achieve frequency re-configurability, switching of eight RF p-i-n diodes which are placed along the slot length is done in various combinations. Frequency tuning ratio of about 1.75:1 can be achieved using this design. Results such as return losses, gain, bandwidth and radiation patterns are presented in this paper.
