  • Abstract
In this paper, we present Intersection collision avoidance in Vehicular ad hoc network. Vehicular ad hoc network (VANET) is a technology that uses moving vehicles as nodes in network to create mobile network. In VANET, every participating vehicle is a wireless router or node. When vehicles are intersected at crossing, at that time accident situation will be occurred. To avoid this situation congestion control concept is present in this paper. This paper reviews various existing MAC protocols used for congestion avoidance. In this paper use of IEEE 802.11 p protocols for congestion avoidance of vehicles.
