Abstract
A comprehensive assessment of Internet connection quality requires detailed knowledge of IP performance metrics. This article focuses on the creation of a hardware and software complex entitled NetTestBox, which is able to measure one-way delay and available bandwidth between remote nodes. The measuring technology uses time synchronization via GPS/GLONASS receivers. The principles of operation of the specially written owping software used for measuring one-way delay with microsecond accuracy are discussed in detail, with the results of the first tests on real networks also shown.
