Abstract
In this paper we propose new solution for improving performance of the wireless sensor networks with relay stations, through distributed Multiple Input-Multiple Output implementation, i.e. by creating virtual Orthogonal Space Time Block Coding systems. The considered scheme provides creating virtual 2×1 Multiple Input-Single Output channel. This system besides sensor nodes includes one base station, and one relay station equipped with two antennas, or two relay stations each equipped with a single antenna. The simulation results show that the proposed solution can provide evidently better Bit Error Rate performance.
