Abstract :
In this paper, macro-diversity system with macro-diversity switch and stay combining (SSC) receiver and two micro-diversity selection (SC) receivers operating over Gamma shadowed Nakagami-m multipath fading channel is taken into consideration. Macro-diversity SSC receiver is proposed in order to reduce long term fading effects while micro-diversity SC receivers are proposed in order to mitigate multipath fading effects on the system performances. Average level crossing rate (LCR) at outputs of micro-diversity SC receivers are calculated and efficiently used for calculation of LCR of macro-diversity SSC output signal envelope. Moreover, the influences of different multipath and shadowing parameters on the LCR of the proposed model are thoroughly examined and presented graphically.
