One solution of Android service for communication with control unit in vehicle infotainment device

This paper presents solution of Android service for collecting data from simulator of car events or ECU through OBD II system. This data can be car´s current speed, number of revolutions per minute, fuel level, engine errors etc. Data are fetched by Android service and via API delivered to the clients applications, that can display fetched data through UI. By comparing the solution with already existing solutions, enhancement in parameters fetching speed is evident.
