Abstract
In this report, we briefly presented the concept of the KIOSK data downloading system at 300-GHz and MMICs for the transmitter based on the state-of-art InP HEMTs technology. Recently, we have achieved the 20-Gbps error free data transmission (BER <; 10 -9) over 1-meter distance with the MMICs in well controlled experimental environment. Those results will be presented in future. In addition, concept and consideration for the small package for receiver modules was presented. Based on the standard LTCC technologies, we experimentally demonstrated the broadband high gain antenna with the volume less than 0.1 cc. This work was supported in part by the research and development program on Multi-tens gigabit wireless communication technology at sub-terahertz frequencies of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications, Japan.
