Abstract :
The problems of distribution network reconfiguration with distributed generation are discussed. An improved binary particle swarm optimization algorithm is proposed combined with distribution network characteristics. The static reconfiguration model is established with the objective of minimum power loss. The proposed algorithm can improve searching efficiency by using breaking-cycle to generate and update particles. The strategy of initialization during the updating process can prevent the algorithm from finding out the local optimal solution and can search for global optimal solution with higher probability. The experimental result on a 33-bus test system shows that the proposed method can find out the global optimal solution effectively.
